NFT Market Update - 30th August, 2022

Meta allows users to post NFTs on Instagram and Facebook.

BarrelDAO, a brewery and distillery that is governed by users on Solana released a beer, Solana Summer Shandy, featuring DeGods, Okay Bears, SMB and more. Packs of 16 are sold through redeemable NFTs, for 1.35 SOL/$40.

X2Y2 announced a controversial option that allows buyers to set the royalty fee when buying an NFT. Twitter erupted and X2Y2 responded “while the debate is raging, pls note this is far from finished product, and updates are already in the works.”

UTA, the Hollywood talent agency, signed MV3 NFT Collection From ‘Stranger Things’ Writer and a trio of Web3 artists including visual artists Emonee LaRussa, who was selected as one of three artists to create NFTs for the Grammys, Vinnie Hager, and Andrew Wang.

America’s largest crypto exchange, Coinbase is considering listing Ethereum forks following The Merge. The company posted “should an ETH PoW fork arise following The Merge, this asset will be reviewed with the same rigor as any other asset that is listed on our exchange.”
