Jordan Lyall: From Joke Tweet To NFT Magnate

In the summer of 2020 Jordan Lyall was working at blockchain technology company Consensys exploring the world of risk in Defi. The project was the beginning of a pseudo-ratings agency. During his off-time he randomly tweeted out a mocked up concept which was essentially a Wordpress for Defi protocols and things snowballed from there.

The joke tweet spawned a passionate community. From a Telegram community to a full blown airdropped token ($MEME) which provided no utility whatsoever. Due to this lack of utility, Jordan was telling people not to buy it.

From there the dontbuymeme.com domain was born and the rest is history. Today, Meme is an actual NFT marketplace which consists of well known digital artists.
